GenV Electronic PowerGate External Wastegate TURBOSMART
Turbosmart's patent-pending eWG is a fully electronically actuated wastegate - Built on the class-leading GenV PowerGate architecture, with a type of control never seen before. The PowerGate eWG is a 60mm electronic external wastegate that uses fully electronic control without the limitations associated with traditional penumatic control.
Starting with a GenV wastegate body from Turbosmart, you can be sure that the Mounting orientation will match your existing manifold and outlet hardware. The GenV PowerGate already had best-in-class flow capacity and heat handling features. Now, with Turbosmart's patent-pending eWG actuator system, you can also be sure of unparalleled control.
There are no springs, no pipes, no boost reference signal, or any associated limitations. There are no longer "minimum" boost levels associated with base spring pressure or pipe heat issues. If your manifold priority is good enough, you can adjust your boost level from zero to full, all from your laptop or a tuning interface. The eGate range requires a dual half-bridge input for control, in the same way an electronic throttle body is controlled and the strategy is as good as your imagination and your ECU or controller allows.
Don't have an ECU with an aftermarket dual half-bridge output ? No problem, check out Turbosmart's Wastegate BlackBox electronic controller with up to 2 independent channels via simple PWM inputs , or more advanced CAN-based inputs.
